1. Acceptance of Terms

By signing up for or using Trashcan Movers services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Trashcan Movers provides weekly curbside trashcan services, including:

  • Rolling garbage, recycling, and organic bins to the curb.
  • Returning bins after municipal collection.

    Services are available for residential, rental, and commercial properties within our designated service areas (currently Halifax, Dartmouth, and Bedford).

3. Service Access

  • By subscribing, you authorize Trashcan Movers to access your property for the purpose of moving bins.
  • Customers must provide accurate access details (gate codes, lock combinations, pet instructions, etc.).
  • If our team cannot access bins due to pets, vehicles, blocked entry, incorrect schedules, or missing access details, the service will be skipped without credit or refund.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring safe, hazard-free access for our staff.

4. Service Plans & Payment

  • Pricing depends on bin count, property type, and specific requirements. Full details are available on our website.
  • Payments are billed monthly or quarterly in advance via accepted payment methods (Visa, MasterCard).
  • By subscribing, you authorize automatic recurring payments until you cancel.
  • Trashcan Movers may update pricing with advance notice. Changes take effect in the next billing cycle.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Services may be canceled with 20 days’ notice before the next billing cycle.
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
  • Trashcan Movers may suspend or terminate service for non-payment or violations of these Terms.

6. Service Conditions

Customers must keep cans in acceptable sanitary condition. Trashcan Movers reserves the right to refuse excessively dirty or unsafe bins.  Trashcan Movers is not responsible for missed services caused by:

  • Municipal delays or changes in pickup schedules.
  • Inclement weather, hazardous conditions, or road closures.
  • Unrestrained pets, vehicles blocking access, or customer error.


No credits or refunds will be issued in these situations.

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Ensuring bins are visible and accessible on service days.
  • Keeping garbage/recycling properly contained in bins.
  • Providing updated property details (codes, pets, driveway changes).
  • Following local waste regulations.
  • Timely payment of service fees.

8. Holidays & Schedule Changes

Trashcan Movers will make reasonable efforts to adjust service during holidays. However, missed service due to municipal schedule changes or holiday delays will not be credited or refunded.

9. Liability

  • Trashcan Movers is not liable for normal wear and tear, damage caused by municipal collection trucks, wildlife, weather, or third parties.
  • We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed pickups.
  • Our liability will not exceed the amount paid for the affected service period.

10. Intellectual Property

All website content (logos, graphics, text, images) is owned by Trashcan Movers and protected under applicable laws. No content may be copied or distributed without written consent.

11. Modifications

Trashcan Movers may update services, pricing, or these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nova Scotia.
